Job Description:
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate School-Based Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) to join our team. In this role, you will support licensed Speech-Language Pathologists (SLPs) in providing high-quality speech and language services to students in a school setting. Your work will play a vital role in helping students improve their communication skills and succeed academically.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist SLPs in the implementation of treatment plans and individualized education programs (IEPs).
- Conduct speech and language screenings as directed by the SLP.
- Provide direct therapy services to students under the supervision of the SLP.
- Document student progress and maintain accurate records.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other support staff to create a supportive learning environment.
- Participate in meetings and professional development opportunities as required.
Qualifications:
- Associate's degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders, or equivalent experience.
- Current SLPA certification
- Previous experience in a school setting is preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
